What is Henna?
Henna powder (as pictured on the left) is formed from the crushed leaves of the flowering plant, Lawsonia Inermis. The plant contains Lawsone, a natural dye that stains the skin, hair, & nails. Lawsone binds with the keratin in your skin to form the stain.
Henna powder is combined with water and essential oils to form a paste. This paste is applied to the skin, hair, & nails to create a temporary reddish-brown stain that lasts from 7-10 days, sometimes longer. In the United States of America, this art form is referred to as "henna tattoos."
Black Henna WARNING
I do NOT use black henna. Henna is naturally reddish-brown in color. Black henna may contain the synthetic dye PPD and/or other synthetic dyes which have been known to cause serious burning and scarring of the skin!
Henna By Neha uses 100% natural, triple- sifted Rajasthani henna . This ensures that all of my clients receive dark-staining henna designs!
